Seeing Through God's Eyes

I was just a child before and wasn’t aware of my sinful nature. As I got older and listened in Sunday school, to my teachers and pastor, I realized I needed to make a decision about Jesus. Was he really who he said he was? After taking a baptism class, and wanting to join the church, my pastor asked me if I wanted to give my life to Christ. I started to feel the tug of the Holy Spirit on my heart, repented of my sins, and asked Jesus to be my savior and guide.

 

From that moment on, I knew I was not to live just for myself. I had a purpose in life. I have grown in my faith, I haven’t been perfect, and I have fallen, but Christ has always been there to pick me back up. He is my constant companion during hard and troubling times. I believe being a Christian means living for Christ by being his hands and feet, speaking and telling others about him, and helping those in need that God places in my life.

 

My view of the world is different because I see it through the eyes of God, seeing the many lost that need to hear of God’s love, grace, and truth. My favorite verse that brings me comfort and joy is Lamentations 3:22-23, “Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”
