I grew up in the church and called myself a Christian from the start. But didn’t really have much of a working faith. Once I came back to Christ after a long time living in the world, I experienced a newfound peace and joy.

Being a Christian is not just checking a box every week. I see it as a conscious act of worship in everything I do. It is a choice to follow Christ despite my circumstances. While living in the world I felt a constant void. An emptiness that made me jealous and angry of people and things. But living with Christ the joy I have is not manufactured or faked.

It’s tough to choose but my favorite verse is probably Philippians 4:8, “Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.”
